Summary: Sam wakes up for the first time after he's thrown them all, Michael, Lucifer and Adam, into the Cage.
Lucifer Lord of Light, Son of Morning, was not what Sam had expected. The fallen angel, divested of his human vessel, was salamander-pale. A colourless, featureless creature, worm-like and eyeless, he still shone, but with a sickly, green luminescence that reminded Sam of Tolkien's Minas Morghul.
Terrifying and terrible.
Sam shuddered as Lucifer blindly turned towards him.
On the far side of the cage, Michael stood tall and stern, a winged statue of purest silver. The two cowering humans were beneath his notice. Let Lucifer play with them if he wanted, Michael was too busy railing at God to care.
