A/N: First songfic! A war has broken out between demons and humans. Normally the demons would have won, but some demons have sided with humans...and one of those demons is Sesshomaru! This can be taken as a SesshxRin but it doesn't have to be.
"Goodbye, Rin." She nodded her hear with tears streaming down from her chestnut brown eyes to her slightly tanned cheeks. "I-I can..." She threw her arms around me causing me to step back a little. I took a deep, deep breath and smelled her sweet flower like scent as this would the last time I smelt something so wonderful.
I remember tears streaming down your face

When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
I had no more words left. I couldn't say anything to comfort her. But I will have to let her go. Because she will die otherwise. I placed my right hand on her head and my left around her waist. I remembered hearing a song Rin sang sometimes. She seemed to love that song for she sang it many times. I leaned over to her and whispered...

The sun is going down

Rin took a quick look out the window and shook in fear at what was happening. I immediately grabbed her head and covered her eyes. It was a disgusting place. All you could see was fire and demons. All you could here was screams of pain.
I could smell the blood reeking from outside.
Don't you dare look out your window darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
"Listen, Rin. You need to leave. Now." I wondered how I would manage without her. Just hearing the sound of her voice makes me feel like I'm safe and sound. I don't think I can do it. "How can I do it?" I said out loud, without meaning to "Lord Sesshomaru" Rin stretched on her tiptoes so that her lips were right next to my ear and whispered.

I let her go and she left through the back of the hut. "Goodbye, my Lord."
Sesshomaru took a step outside and began to battle.

He slashed his sword cutting through the demons in his path and

Rin heard many demons screaming and she took off with Ah-Un. She looked at the sun.
Come morning light
They knew the words were true in their hearts.

Sesshomaru took a deep breath and whispered...
