Reunion
The day had finally come when Sasuke would return from the clutches of Orochimaru.
Team Seven knew that their former teammate would not be completely trusted by anyone, but as long as he was back things would be normal again, right?
They could only hope.
Naruto stood by the gates with Kakashi, Sakura, and Sai. This all seemed so surreal to him. Would Sasuke ever be the same? Could they still be friends? All of these thoughts rushed through the blonde boy's head at a hundred miles an hour.
He wondered what Sakura was thinking. Would he still have to compete for her affection? Would Sakura still punch him when Sasuke was around? Although, he knew she'd probably punch him anyway, so the pain was inevitable.
He didn't really want to know what Sai thought, considering the guy obsesses over penises.
The gates slowly opened, finally. Sasuke stepped through, the sunlight shining behind him. Naruto's heart almost leapt out of his chest as he nervously gulped.
"S-Sasuke?" Sakura chimed in, emerald eyes widened in pure awe of her old teammate's return.
Sasuke approached Naruto and blinked.
"Teme? Is it really you?" Naruto asked, still in shock.
Sasuke gave a "Hn.", meaning, "Yes."
Naruto smiled, before giving Sasuke a swift kick in the balls.
"That's for everything you put us through, bastard." Naruto spat before crushing Sasuke with a bear hug, a huge smile plastered on his face.
Yep, things weren't gonna change too much.
Well, I basically just pulled this one right outta thin air.
Although, I've always wanted to see Sasuke get kicked in the groin, so I'm satisfied.
