"Come on Remus! Let's go in the snow!" It had been snowing all evening and Sirius had been resisting the temptation for too long. The white blanket was so untouched, enveloping everything in its arms. Sirius had to be the one to change that. Remus wasn't as keen.
"We'll get cold, and its night time. We won't be able to see. Not to mention what our cloaks are going to
look like!"
"Ahhh, nothing a quick spell or too can't sort out!" Remus looked away with a stern face, but Sirius wouldn't take no for an answer. He gently took Remus's scarred face in his rough hands with care, and turned it to face him. "Please? It'll be worth it I promise. We can make snowmen? Oh please. I'll do anything. Anything, Please Moony?" Remus's face softened. He'd always love the soft rasp in Sirius's voice when he called him Moony.
"Go on then. But just for a bit!"
"Oh thank you, thank you Moony! You won't regret it, I promise!" Sirius replied, hurrying to the back door, not bothering with his cloak. Remus half sighed, half laughed and hauled himself up from the sofa after
Sirius.
Sirius bounded out of the door. He flopped down into the snow and began rolling around in it, making a deep curve where his body had been.
"You're digging yourself into a deeper hole!" Remus laughed.
"Lame!" Chuckled Sirius, standing up and shaking the snow off him. He loved the way Remus found his own jokes so funny, even though they weren't. He only seemed to tell them in his company. He liked that.
Suddenly, a snowball hit Sirius sharply in the side of the face. He turned round to retaliate to find he couldn't see Remus anywhere.
"Ok, where are you? You know I'm going to get you back! Once a marauder, always a marauder. And marauders always fight back!"
"I'm sorry I'm sorry! Please, no, don't!" Remus was running, but Sirius was right on his tail. He always seemed to find some extra power from nowhere. Remus had often thought about this…
Sirius caught up with Remus quickly, and pushed a handful of snow in his face, lingering with his hand resting on his cheek for a moment, feeling it's warmth.
"May that be a lesson to you!" Sirius gloated, as Remus brushed the snow from his face.
"Yes, yes. Lesson learned. Now come on, lets see who can make the biggest snowman!"
After twenty minutes of frantic building and sneaky sabotage, Sirius succeeded in knocking Remus's snowman to the floor.
"And I think we have a winner!" Sirius announced, raising his arms to the starry sky.
"Cheat!" Exclaimed Remus, relishing in the inch or two of flesh that had been revealed at Sirius's stomach.
"I won fair and square! You just weren't good enough!" Sirius replied, laughing.
Remus launched himself at Sirius. If he couldn't win at building snowmen, then he'd cover Sirius in as much snow as possible instead. Sirius was knocked off his feet and fell backwards onto the soft while snow, with Remus landing on top of him.
"Ahhh!" Sirius exclaimed. "Just because you lost! Sore loser!"
They began rolling around in the snow, fighting to push the other to the ground. Sirius ended up with a worn out Remus pinned beneath him.
"Ok, ok, you win! I give up!" Announced Remus, sighing and letting an exhausted Sirius flop on top of him.
Sirius suddenly levelled his face with Remus's, tilted it to the side slightly, and kissed him. Remus was shocked.
Sirius's lips left Remus'. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that." He whispered onto Remus's ear. He took a second to gulp the breath down that had hitched in his throat before replying.
"I could have said the same to you." He whispered back, enveloping Sirius's soft lips in a hungry but gentle kiss. He definitely wasn't going to be cold tonight.
