The Twilight Apple is my submission for a contest from The Sparkle Awards. I have to write about…can you guess? The Twilight Apple! So, my friends, enjoy this one-shot.
And thank my beta, kinziewriteslove for checking this!! You rock!! ;)
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight.
I was watching Stephanie Meyer type at her computer. Each second flew by, I didn't notice. I'm watching… Examining…
The characters were soaring to life as I watched her pour into them. When did I get here you ask? I don't know. How did I get here? Stephanie of course, she helped me get here. I help her with her story, but she doesn't know that. She'll never know I'm here.
I planted the dream in her head that night to give her the idea of a book. I was there, watching her at each point, each twist and turn so far into her book. That was me. I knew what to do with this idea; I know what will happen in the future. She had asked for help after the dream, so I came to her aid.
The title of this idea so far right now: Forks. She has no other idea for what to call this story. One title churns around in her mind…Twilight. Yes, this book will be called Twilight… Not yet though.
I watch the story come alive, like a movie rolling along in my 'Thinking Point'; but her kids are coming soon. I don't know exactly what I am-- all I know is that I help Stephanie with her ideas. She has to stop writing though--I stop the flow of ideas to her mind, I'll make them resume in a few days. I don't feel time here.
She looks to the time, her hair falling over her shoulder and in a wave, time to pick up the boys I send to her head. Not long after I sent the wave, she packed her things up to leave.
What made me, not even a solid being; give an idea to Stephanie for a love story between a vampire and a human? The Apple, the Forbidden Fruit if you may. There are many different variations of it, this one just a little bit more on the fantasy side, a vampire and a human, trying to survive together.
The vampire, Edward, is fighting with himself eternally. Struggling for what he thinks is right and wrong. The human, Bella, knows that her life is at risk, but still loves what cannot be…Yes, it is a forbidden love.
This brings me back to the apple… All over the world, people will love this story, some won't though. It's just the thoughts we feed them. 'My kind' watch these people, the unknown beings; not even fiction tells tales about us. We wouldn't even give the idea to put ourselves out like that. We can, but won't. We make sure each life goes the way it should, but we don't control them. We have no power over that. Though we can't see others of our kind, we can sense them. Like I noted, we don't have bodies, just things we "use" in air.
I look ahead to the future bookstores to see what the book will look like.
On the cover, in a set of slender pale hands, lays the apple--the Forbidden Fruit, glowing with energy.
If you have any questions, just PM me. I tried to make it as clear as possible. Wish me luck!!!
