Dayley: The new Bellarke
Warning: There are spoilers in here for The Greenhouse Academy and The 100, you have been warned, read at your own risk.
I just finished watching the Greenhouse Academy season 2 and I am so happy yet frustrated at what happened. Luckily this season many ships of mine have become canon or are super close to it and might happen in (the possible) season 3 of the show, especially Dayley. Honestly since the show started when I watched the first episode from their first interaction I shipped them together which is funny considering what happened.
Now real quick the reason I am writing this, which some might be able to tell by the title if you have also seen the 100. Bellarke is a ship in 100 that I have also shipped since season 1 but there have been many obstacles in the way of them as well. Sadly they aren't together yet though but I have faith in them.
The reason I am writing this is because as I was rewatching season one then watching season two I slowly realized how similar Dayley was to Bellarke and it completely blew my mind that two ships I love are so similar, so hopefully if one becomes canon then both will.
At the start of The 100 Bellamy and Clarke(Bellarke) hated each other very much and Clarke developed a crush on Finn, a charming guy who I knew was bad news from the start. As the show went on Bellamy and Clarke slowly started to hate each other less and become friends, even co leaders and really depended on one another but at the same time Clarke also got into a relationship with Finn. But later we found out that Finn was in a relationship already with a girl named Raven who was brought into the show, breaking Clarke's heart. She ended her relationship with Finn, he in love with her and wanting to be with her.
With The Greenhouse Academy when the show started Hayley and Daniel hated each other, up until season 2 they did. Midway through season 2 they decided to team up together to save Brooke(Daniel's ex), and uncover what his mother was doing, putting aside their past feelings and becoming friends through it, slowly gaining feelings for one another each initiating a kiss with one another. In season 1 Hayley developed a crush on the captain of the ravens and they even were in a sorta relationship for an episode or so but in the season finally we found out he was in a L.D.R.(Long distance relationship) with his childhood sweetheart Aspen and her coming end the relationship of Hayley and Leo. Though Leo claimed to be in love with Hayley even breaking up with Aspen wanting to be with her and not believing that she was with Daniel when a photo was spread around that made the two(Hayley and Daniel) seem like they were a couple(Hayley kissed Daniel to help sell the ruse).
So both(Dayley and Bellarke) are similar in that when both shows started each set hated the other person in their set, the girls in each were with another guy but later found out they were in a relationship with another girl and extremely saddened by it and in a way made they grow closer to the guy I ship them with.
Now the season finale of Greenhouse has me chomping at the bit for season 3, especially since we don't know who Hayley texted, hopefully she was smart enough to not make the mistake of being with Leo again and give Daniel a chance. I have always thought they would make a better couple and they worked together so well and anyone could see the chemistry between them, but for people who have seen both shows I hope they saw the connection as well, or this helped people to see it as well. What do you all think of this, am I crazy or onto something?
