She stopped calling me Chicken…
Matt shifted in the bed, curling over to a side and taking all the blanket- again. I sighed, moving some of my disgusting blonde hair out of my face. "Matt." I mumbled, kicking him slightly, "Time to get up, smoker boy." He groaned and curled over more when I gave him another kick. "Get up." I rolled over to dangle my feet over the side of the bed, my head ached and I left like I was going to vomit.
My getting up from the bed made Matt fall, his head almost hitting the bedside table. "Thanks, Mello. You're such a great friend." I stared over at him as I pulled on the cleanest pair of leather pants I could find. I didn't ever know how to act in front of him, not since the Wammy house. Namine never approved of us being friends, her friend, Hide, had dared me to kiss him.
"Come on chicken! I bet you can't do it! You're just all talk!" Hide smirked, holding her hands over her head in satisfaction. "I could do it, but I'm not sure if—" I stepped towards the girl, slapping her across the face. Sure it was a girl thing to do, but I didn't want to punch her… "What was that?! Are you a chick?!" She continued to tease me. "My brother used to send me to the hospital when we fought." She snickered, "So, are you going to fight me, or are you going to kiss him?" Hide pointed her thumb at the red-headed boy, smirking.
I stared at her for a moment; all of the kids had gathered around and stared for a moment, whispering nonsense to each other. "You're crazy, Hide. I'm not gay." Her next words, so obvious; I gave her a smirk. "I'll prove it to you." My fingers pulled at the front of her shirt, forcing her to walk forward in fear of her shirt ripping. Hide's lips were shaking, her face was a bright cherry red as I pressed my own lips against hers, pulling away as soon as she gasped in shock. "There, now stop calling me gay."
I couldn't deny that I had feelings for the girl, but those soon vanished when she dared me again, this time, we were all partying like idiots. I had grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, kissing him just as lightly as I had to her, but with more of everything else making sure he felt them when she couldn't. "Whoa… Mello… I didn't… I didn't know…" Matt's face had been as bright as his hair; his goggles covered his bright eyes.
"Mello, are you okay? You sorta just stopped getting dressed." Matt stood in front of me, brushing my hair out of my face. "You sure you're up to see the girls?" His lips found mine, holding them there while he helped me pull my pants on all the way.
"Yeah, I want to see what that girl has to say about me now." I smirked and pulled his vest on for him. "I'm sure she'll just call me a chicken again."
