Turning point.
(Raymond's POV. )
I look at my dad with a glimmer in my dark blue eyes, as I wait in the eternal line to embark upon the famous Titanic.
My father, a heavy-set man with graying hair that once used to be a mousy brown looked at me fondly before slowly dropping the ticket into my tan, calloused palms. We needed no words as I finally felt that our time was up and it was time to go to for me to get that long-awaited meet-up with my mother, Theresa. I smile sadly as I grab my heavy dark case from the ground and give my dad a kiss, "I'll miss you." My father whispers to me and I just as quickly and softly whisper back, "I love you and will miss you forever." With a smile, we both let go and I go to get onto the boat, a gorgeous beauty, she was the biggest ship I had ever seen in my life and I couldn't help myself but to stop and gawk at her majestic beauty.
I was shoved forwards by impatient passengers who wanted to explore their new settings, when suddenly I hear a scream from a yard or two behind me, "Oh, Oh God, no! Let me go! Let me get away from this deathtrap!" I look behind me to see a woman in her mid thirties fleeing the line with high, lamenting sobs escaping her throat.
I quickly look away and rush up the plank and onto the majestic boat of my dreams.
Once I was on the gorgeous boat could I bear to look back off the railing to see my father, looking somber where his mouth was probably set in a grim line under his large moustache. I wave at him as the steam horn blares before I feel the subtle jolt of the Titanic setting off.
I was ecstatic, for mostly two reasons. One, I was on the maiden voyage of the unsinkable Titanic and two, I was going to see my mother for the first time.
