Are You Enthralled?

BOND

Her golden curls rested softly on her shoulder, shimmering brightly in the dim light. Her blue eyes lit up when Alec rejoined her, handing her a glass of wine. Her lips curved around the rim of the glass, their dark red hue growing deeper as she sipped the rich red vintage as the admiring Alec looked on.

She set the glass aside, slipping an arm through Alec's as he led her onto the dance floor. James watched as he slipped his hands lower as they swayed to the soft, sensual music, their heads resting together, shining like gold dust.

TREVELYAN

She was soft in his arms, warm and tender and perfect. He could not understand why James had never had her – but it didn't matter. She was in his arms, her head rested against his chest, and he could not help but slip his fingers into her soft curls.

'May I cut in?'

His voice was deep and, with a slight giggle, she thought, sounded like sex. He stood there in front of them, the complete opposite of Alec. He was dark and mysterious, while Alec was blond and familiar. And who to choose? Alec Trevelyan... or James Bond?

MONEYPENNY

She could feel their gaze on her as she took a moment to ponder her choices.

'Bond,' Alec nodded stiffly.

'Trevelyan.'

They were friends ordinarily, but not now – not in this moment. She could sense the tension between them, knew it was caused by her.

His dark gaze turned to her, tracing the lines of her body, making her feel suddenly self-conscious. He extended his hand, and, for a moment, her hand hovered above his. And then she allowed herself to be whisked away by Bond, leaving Alec Trevelyan behind them. She couldn't, in all conscience, feel guilty – not when James was holding her in his arms.
