While just sitting at Thirstys with Ernie and all the other guys from work, George gets a surprising phone call. His long-lost sister had just died, little did George know, that his sister had a 14 year old daughter, named Kayla, another surprise, his sister put George and Angie to be the new guardians of Kayla if something happened to her, and Kayla's dad died when she was just a baby. Right now George doesn't know whether she should be more upset about having to take in another, troubled teenager or that his sister died. He and Ernie talk about it for a while, and then George realized that he has to think of a way to tell Benny, she'll be devastated, her brother just died. Finally they decide to go home and tell Angie and the kids.
"Angie, Laurie died and we have to take Kayla in." He quickly says.
"What? Well, this could be good, she does need some help."
"Well, she'll need that help fast; she's coming tomorrow at 10."
Angie starts freaking out now, now that she realizes that they'll be taking in another teenager, and it's not like they have time to discuss whether they want to or not, they have to, and it's coming tomorrow. Now they start to wonder what the kids will think, and Benny. George decides to call his mom.
"Mom, I have to tell you something."
"Hurry up, the football game is on."
"Laurie died, and Angie and I have to take Kayla in. And you were entitled to 100,000."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, were going to court tomorrow, you can go with us."
"I will, now goodbye you made me miss a touchdown."
George is glad that that went well, Benny's happier about getting money than anything though, hopefully it can pay for her and Randy's wedding and honeymoon. And I only hope the kids are as good about it as she was.
"Carmen! Max! Get down here." George yells.
"What are we in trouble for now?" Max asks.
"You guys didn't do anything, you're not in trouble, your aunt Laurie died, and in her will she wants me and your mom to be the legal guardians of Kayla."
"So she's going to live with us?" Carmen asks.
"Yeah, and if you don't like it, you can go move in with Grandma Benny."
"Aw, I'm so happy; this will be so much fun." Carmen quickly says.
"Oh Dad I'm so excited for her to live with us." Max says right after.
Then everyone goes upstairs to bed and waits for Kayla to come tomorrow. Finally it's the next morning and George goes downstairs to make some breakfast for the family. Then everyone gets ready and comes downstairs to wait for Kayla to come.
"Morning everyone; has the walking bug came yet?" Benny says sarcastically.
Right then the doorbell rings.
"Oh mom, you're just in time. And Max go get the door" George says back with a big smile on his face.
Max goes to open the door and Kayla walks right in with a cigarette in hand, and she starts saying how the house is so nice, and that she's looking forward to having an actual family. Then George, Angie, Carmen and Benny come to see Kayla.
"Kayla we don't smoke in this family or house, so if you could put that out, outside and not do that again, thanks." Angie nicely says.
"Oh my god, you're just like me!" Carmen screams.
"Oh god, we don't' need another one." George says under his breath.
"Oh joy, two of the same thing." Benny mumbles.
"Hey guys, it's so nice to be here, thank you so much for having me, I hope you don't mind that I smoke, Angie, I'll start smoking outside now, but I have to try and stop because there's more than 6 people in this room." Kayla says back to all of them.
"You're pregnant?!" George yells.
"Maybe…"
