This takes place after Awakened when Stevie Rae, Zoey , Rephiam and Stark leave House Of Night as their home and decide to open a House Of Night in the Depot tunnels.

P.O.V : Stevie Rae Johnson

Chapter 1: Just the beginning

"Ya'know Aphrodite, it's not nice to be called a bumpkin. Really , it isn't. And also , you have to admit. The red fledglings did a pretty great job with the tunnels. They are a whole lot better," Stevie Rae frowned.

"Don't forget my gold credit cards. You'd never be able to get this without them. Sure Royal Bumpkin, yeah whatever… as a "home" for you red ones it may be fine. Not for a school ! And another thing, you don't have to keep track of the money like your mama's growing baby carrots. Well firstly , Unlimited incase you'd forgotten and secondly everything gets charged to my mum so it doesn't make much of a difference," she scoffed turning back to her muscular warrior.

How was I supposed to break the news? Aphrodite's gold cards ( or her mother's rather) were all maxed out. Z and I had already checked them, not to mention 5 times and it had been confirmed. Not only that , they had been canceled for some reason. The puzzling thing was, Aphrodite had been topping up the cards regularly. Plus they were unlimited, as she had mentioned. Perhaps it was-

"Uh… Hullo in there ? " Aphrodite called out , rudely waving her hand in front of my face and cutting my trend of thoughts. My head automatically snapped up.

"Sorry, um… uh there's just a lot on my mind.."

"About ze' bird brain? " She smirked, putting on a horrible French accent before heading down the hallway.

The young warrior hesitated for a moment before approaching me kindly instead of following his priestess like he usually did. "Is there something troubling you priestess? You don't seem to be at ease. Are you troubled about your consort's safety?" I shook my head.

Telling Darius about Aphrodite's cards might be a good idea, but then again it may not. We would just be adding another burden on the young warriors soldiers which definitely isn't the best option, especially at a time like this and the fact that Aphrodite's gold card would affect our home and everyone of us. Maybe later..
