A.N. Ok so this wasn't exactly my vision, I didn't really star out with one. Just an idea of how I wanted it to sound and the voice. Kinda spurred by a song, which one I will not tell. You're free to guess tho. I will tell you it is by Evanescence. So yeah not exactly what I wanted I just let it flow and this is the result. I hope you do enjoy though, I like the way it turned out, I suppose. I'm done. R&R pwease?!

Disclaimer: Not mine Yaddah yaddah yaddah, blah blah blah, you guys know the drill. And so we begin.

A.N. yeah Kathy Reichs's Tempe's middle name is Deasee so…

She didn't know what she was more afraid of. The fact that she just validated her love for him or what it could possibly mean. Maybe she was afraid of the anger that followed the silent confession. She didn't know why she was angry at him. It was her fault if she was completely honest with herself, but when did that truly happen? She had been afraid of intimacy from the time she was 15 and she watched her brother leave. Maybe she was angry because through all the years they spent together, she was always there for him, when he needed to tell a morbid story of how he murdered someone, she was right there to listen. She knew though that that wasn't the reason. The real reason was that when she needed him the most, he walked, but it was always in the wrong direction. He walked towards her and enveloped her in a hug or forced her to look at him so he could create a wrecking ball out of his words, his mouth being the crane from which it swung to break holes in her carefully constructed walls. She was angry because he told her he loved her. She was angry because in that moment she couldn't think fast enough to decide whether or not she loved him back before he added his damn qualifier. She was angry at him because now they were back to just friends. She was angry because in a split second her life went from the one she knew, to the one she longed for… of which she got just a little taste of before it was so savagely ripped away from her, to one she never wanted. One so fleeting she felt as if he would never turn around to come back to life… the love that he was abandoning. When she was a girl she never entertained the thought of love. Loving and being loved. She met Booth, and things changed. Now she is a woman who never wanted to sit at the window pining away or laying in bed at night in a whirlwind of confusing emotions as if she was on a soap opera or something. She never wanted the man she loves face to mar her wonderful dreams. She never wanted to love a voice that she hated. And that's exactly what she had become. And that's why she was so angry at Booth. Because she no longer wanted to spend the rest of her life as Temperance Deasee Brennan… but as Temperance Deasee Booth.
