She followed him everywhere, like a shadow. Some would say she stalked him, yet how could she keep away from her beloved one?
"Ameonna(woman it always seems to rain around), depressing…"
She had many rebukes thrown at her since she was a kid. It wasn't as if she welcomed the rain, the rain welcomed her. No one would accept the rain, or her. But Gray came. He was the one who showed her kindness, what a sky without rain looked like, how beautiful it looked. He wasn't like the rest.
"Freakshow, Maiden of Gloom…"
More insults would be trailed around her, no one liked to be with her. No one could accept her, or the rain which enshrouded her. Yet again, Gray was different. When he came in to the picture, he cleared her skies and accepted her for who he was.
The reason she followed this man – stared at his broad back daily for hope of a glimpse of his face – was for the hope and kindness he had shown her. It was true, Jubia was in love. The 'pitter patter' in her heart was not to be hidden, Jubia was not one to hide her emotions, and she longed for the day she could be with her love.
She watched him brave through dangers of all sorts, fighting with all he had like he had done with her. Her heart hurt when she saw him getting injured, how she wished she could protect him, but she feared the rejection.
"Who are you? You depressing person!" she was sure he'd say to her. She did not want to be let down again, she'd rather stay in her bubble of bliss rather than suffer the hurt she had suffered countless of times.
But who knew? One day, while peeking at him, she did not hide herself in time…
A shadow was cast over her as she looked up with a squeak. Right before her eyes was her sweet flower of love staring at her.
"G-Gray-sama," she whispered, wondering what he'd say.
"Oh hey," to Jubia's surprise he grinned. "You're Jubia right? Remember me? I'm Gray! The one you fought last time during the battle between our guilds! I never thought I'd see you again!"
Jubia almost collapsed on the spot as a furious red heat warmed her face. He remembered her! And most importantly, it was not the rejection she feared. It was nothing she'd have dared to imagine. Once again, this mysterious man had brought sunlight to her world in more than one ways.
"Oh, I've got to go," he turned as he heard Natsu yell at him. "See you around then!" he ended off with a smile.
"J-Jubia will see you around then," she stammered in delight.
Hmm, not really up to standard in my opinion, oh well…
