It wasn't Harry's fault things got messed up.

He did exactly as Dumbledore told him when he found he'd gone back in time. He certainly didn't want to mess up the future so he didn't exist! So he'd changed his name and agreed to the disguise spell and he hadn't told anyone who he really was. He hadn't told his parents or Sirius, or Remus. How was he to know that his connection still worked with Voldemort in this time and that Dumbledore would be forced to tell the Marauders and Lily? But that was still fixable. A quick memory charm before he left could prevent things from changing.

What Harry didn't reckon with was the determination of his friends and family. He didn't count on Sirius keeping a diary or James keeping a pensieve. He hadn't expected them to figure out his plan on obliviating them. And of course everything had seemed to be working perfectly when he obliviated them and took the time turner. He was saddened as he left but secure in the knowledge that the future remained safe. He would miss them.

Or so he thought until he rematerialized in the great hall and met his five brothers and sisters. Harry grinned. Screw the rules, he'd have to time travel more often!
