Teddy and Victoire (2024)
Teddy Lupin was Marrying Victoire Weasley as he couldn't be happier. But he felt more jittery than the bride-to-be herself. Something was wrong. He partly knew what it was and partly did not.
And the worst part was what he knew.
He would be able to say I Do to Vic in a month at the alter. He couldn't do it.
This was the part he didn't know.
He had some undying feeling that he couldn't marry Vic without.
He gone and asked all his ex girlfriends if any still had feelings for him, or if he still had feeling for them, but they all turned him away, or slapped for being suggestive. When he told his Aunt Ginny and Aunt Hermione they told him to stay away from his Uncle Ron and Uncle Harry, because it was making him tactless.
Now he was sitting in the Burrow on New Years Eve contemplating this engagement, while everyone else was watching Uncle George Dance drunkenly on the table, whilst singing with Uncle Charlie away in a manger.
"Away in a manger, noooooo crib for a bed as the little looooord Jesus… Charlieeeeee What comes next?"
"Dunno, let's sing another song instead!"
They looked at one another before breaking out into song, "Oh the Grand old duke of York he had ten thousand men. He marched them…" after that verse Teddy tuned them out and looked around the room, assessing each situation and person.
Louis, James and Roxanne were teasing Fred II, about his blind book date. Teddy had know idea what that was but these four were the next generation of faithful Marauders, it was most likely a prank. He knew which Marauders from the first generation, each were impersonating, unknowingly of course.
Fred II was Teddy's own dad, the bookworm with the brains. No one had expected George Weasley's son to have been both Head boy and a prefect. Nor to have gotten eight Outstanding's and one Exceeds expectations. But then again he was Hermione Weasley's God son… all in all both parties were happy.
Louis was Sirius Black all the way. His Veela charm got him pretty much everything. It was like he was wearing amortentia. Girls swooned after him, and so did some guys, who swung the other way. Louis used to love it… before he got serious with a girl he worked with, then any one else, who's wasn't family, was annoying.
James was his namesake all the way. It was actually freakish how close they were. James had this one girl who refused to go out with him, that he still refuses to show to the family. But the Weasley's and Potters have their suspicions. *Cough* Alice Longbottom *cough*
And lastly Roxanne, not a real marauder but almost the one that knocks sense int8 them when even Fred II was too far gone. Lily Potter I, there were no romantic feelings between Roxy or James but they were closer than the rest. Fred II, James and Roxy were all born on the second of April, they were the Weasley's triplets. Although everyone thinks she has a thing for Cedric Longbottom.
Teddy surveyed the room again, Molly II and Lucy II were both chatting to the youngest Potter, Lily, about god knows what. Probably the newest top bachelor on Witch weekly which was unsurprisingly still Scorpius Malfoy. Even though Scorpius and Rose has been going out for a year since they graduated.
They were sitting snuggled up to one another in the corner of the room every so often stealing glances at Rose's dad, Ron, to whether he was looking before the kissed one another. Al was sitting opposite them talking out Ireland's newest record, catching the snitch, and trying not look disgusted by his two best friends.
Uncle Harry was looking the exact same way as his two best friends flirted in front of him, when he trying to tell them about his newest problem with his and their kids.
Dominique was snogging Lysander Scamander, who graduated last year, and he didn't seem to mind either, as he kissed her back with just as much enthusiasm.
Hugo was talking to Lorcan Scamander about his new job. Becoming a professional wizarding chef. And in turn Lorcan talked about his desire to become a non-fiction novelist better than his great grandfather or grandfather - Teddy couldn't remember which one - he wrote Fantastic beasts and where to find them.
Teddy looked around he needed an out. It was too protective in here. Surreal even. He grabbed his coat and walked out the door in silence. He was half way down the roads when he was about to apperate.
"Teddy!" He purposely ignored the angelic voice and proceeded to pull his wand out his pocket, which resulted in him dropping it in the mud, "Edward Remus Lupin!" The voice was closer now and she didn't sound impressed.
"Yes Vic?" He answered picking his wand carefully out the dirt.
"Why did you leave zo zuddenly?" She asked, are French accent becoming clearer. It happened whenever she was angry or annoyed.
"I needed some fresh air, I was," he breathed in and slumped his shoulders, "I was going to my parents grave,"
Victoire looked taken back, usually he said, 'I'm going to Godric's Hollow,"
Victoire looked at him again her mouth going dry, "May I come along, you know for er… moral support?"
Teddy smiled at his fiancé, "I'd like that Vicky, thanks" she looked her arms through his as they looped arms.
The familiar tug at their nasals followed as soon as they apperated to Godric's Hollow.
The snow lay heavily, on the ground covering most of the graves. Victoire and Teddy went first to the potters, grave, then Sirius Black to pay there respects.
The moment they reached the Lupin grave, Teddy collapsed. He spilt everything out from his second year onwards. "… and now, Vic and I are getting married in Jan, I hope your proud, mum, dad."
Victiore, who had been quiet until now spoke up shakily, "Hello, Mr and Mrs Lupin. I hope you don't think I'm intruding on your family moment-"
"Nonsense Vic, you are family," Teddy said pushing his forehead against theirs.
Just as the Clock hit midnight, they kissed.
"Happy New Year Teddy,"
"Happy New Year Vic,"
Somewhere in Teddy's brain he knew it was going to be okay.
He knew that now he had his parents blessing, nothing was wrong.
No partly, one thing and partly another.
He would say I Do at the Altar.
And he would be happy about it.
This was his new life and he wouldn't change it for the world.
"Teddy? What if I told you something, that could change everything?" Victiore said hugging his waist in the snow.
Teddy hummed in response, "Are you pregnant?"
"No,"
"Then it can wait."
Victoire smiled and buried her head in his chest.
She could get used this.
I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. Some of the events may be linked, but I will write at the top of each page next to the couples names.
