August 15, 2008: Guess what! I'm actually going to start posting the short stories. Wait for it.

Book Two is being stubborn about being written. Due to the problems with it, I will not be posting it as I go (though I may email it to folks if they request it). Instead, I present you with The Outrider Chronicles: Intermission. This will be a series of short tales covering what is going on all around the planet ... and off of it as well. These mini-tales will include scenes from all around the planet Earth, on the motherships, on the Visitor homeworld, and in the Confederation, as well as other galactic organizations and planets. These will be posted as I write them, since each is a tale onto itself.

As for the main story ... there is at least one prelude to the entire series (Ham in London right before coming to LA) yet to be told. Other tales from before the coming of the Visitors will also be told as events unfold in the following books. Among them is how Ham met Willie Garvin (Modesty Blaise's Cockney sidekick) and how he met Modesty herself and what happened to him in the three years after he left Viet Nam and before he once again hooked up with Chris (it's not a pretty story). And then there's who Ham's grandfathers really are; both are prominent in Earth history (one on a supposedly fictional basis). As is Wolf, who has an interesting (but not totally unexpected) link with Rome. Other questions will eventually be answered. Who is the Piper, the Singer, the Dancer? And Coyote? As well as Blackie and the infamous Herself? (There's actually two Herselfs ...but that's an entirely different story.) We will eventually find out what happened to Ham's father and how Chris (and Linn) found out Ham's secret.

One big question will not be answered in this series and that's what happened to the original Trinity (Shadow, Nit'shi, and H'nor). Some mysteries are never meant to solved and I doubt that one ever will be.
