With a flick of her hand to the right, the man instantly knew what stood behind each of the two doors. The princess was the daughter of a cruel and barbaric king; he desired nothing and had everything. If he didn't, he wouldn't live in jealousy, he would get it himself in any way he had to. The princess would not have been brought up any other way. The lady was behind the door to the left, and the tiger to the right. He knew where his options lay, and his choice was clear.

Since he was given his sentence, he had agonized over whether he wanted to live the rest of his life without his true love or if he wanted to live out the rest of his natural life with the lady that would be standing behind the door. His last night in his cell, he had been sleeping fitfully when he had suddenly awoken with his decision crystal clear: he would choose the lady.

Without another moment of hesitation, he strolled to the door to the right and opened it a crack. He heard the inhale of the crown as they held his breath when he shoved the door closed before the tiger was able to leap out at him. He abruptly turned and opened the door to the left and took the waiting lady into his arms where they were married on the spot. He would not give the princess his life when he knew she would end it to spare her a life of jealousy.
