"What's the sitch, Will?" Buffy glanced at the concerned face of her friend on the computer screen.
"I felt a new potential activate today, but something was different about her. She felt young, like really young."
"Well, how young are we talking?"
Willow looked thoughtful for a moment. "I'd take a guess at about 11, 12."
"What! Is that even possible? I thought you the youngest you could ever be called was 15" She looked to the other participant of their video conference call for confirmation.
"Under the old system yes," Giles said. "But Willow's global activation of the potentials swept away any of the pre-existing parameters set in place by the Shadowmen when they first created the Slayer."
"Well do we have any ideas why this might have happened?"
"Well it could be that if she was exposed to event that was sufficiently traumatic, then it the spirit of the Slayer may have felt it necessary to step in to protect it's vessel."
With a sigh Buffy shook her head, even now this job could still surprise her.
"Alright, me and Xander will go to check her out and see if we can find out what's going on. What's she called, Will?"
"According to the spell, her name's Mindy Macready."
