Jedi Knight Tyln Dooku frowned. Why would there be music playing in his and Qui-Gon's quarters?

He opened the door to find that the furniture had been moved to the walls of the main living area, so there was a large amount of empty space. His eighteen year old Padawan was in the middle of that space, dancing to the music.

Dooku watched him, having to admit that he was impressed. His Padawan appeared to be a rather talented dancer.

Once the song ended Qui-Gon saw his Master.

"Master?! How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough for me to see that you're a rather talented dancer, Padawan."

Qui-Gon blushed lightly.

"Who taught you to dance like that?"

"Tahl."

Dooku nodded once in acknowledgement.

There was a brief pause.

"Would you like to learn, Master?"

Dooku looked at the boy, caught off guard by the question then smiled.

"No, Padawan, but thank you anyway."

"What's the matter, Master? Is the great Master Dooku too afraid to learn to dance?" Qui-Gon teased.

The Knight looked him in the eye, which wasn't hard since they were the same height.

"I'm not afraid, Padawan."

He put the datapad in his hand down and out of the way.

"Lets see how well you can teach."

Qui-Gon smiled as his Master tossed his robe to the side and joined him.

The two spent the couple hours in dancing lessons until Dooku got it all right, but even then Qui-Gon wasn't satisfied. He worked his Master until the dance came naturally to Dooku.

"Perfect, Master," he said after Dooku finished the dance, doing instead of thinking, the dancing coming as naturally to him as his lightsaber skills.

Winded, Dooku nodded his thanks.

The dancing lessons had taught them to move in sync with each other better. Even as they walked to the training room for some sparring, their steps were in time with each other.

Tahl was with her Master in the training room, along with several other Jedi and Padawans, and noticed this change in her friend and his Master.

She played the song Qui-Gon and Dooku had danced to in the training room, and just as she had planned, the two, unable to help themselves and forgetting they were in the training room, began dancing.

Once they finished the other Jedi and Padawans clapped, reminding them of where they were.

Qui-Gon blushed a little, and Dooku cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Interesting training that was."

Master and Padawan froze and looked down at Master Yoda, who was giving them an amused look.

Dooku blushed, and Qui-Gon's blush turned a deep crimson.

*************

Fifteen year old Obi-Wan said goodbye to Bant, Garen, and Reeft and hurried towards his and Qui-Gon's quarters. He stopped at the door when he heard music.

"Huh?"

He opened the door to find that the furniture had been moved to the walls of the main living area, so there was a large amount of empty space. In the middle of the space was his Master, dancing to the music.

Qui-Gon danced the same as he had all those years ago, remembering that day as he danced.

Obi-Wan's eyes widened.

Once the song ended Qui-Gon saw Obi-Wan staring at him with wide eyes.

"Padawan? How long were you standing there?"

"A few minutes. Since when do you dance, Master?"

Qui-Gon smiled.

"First time in years, Padawan, and I've still got it."

"You're pretty good."

"Thank you, Padawan."

There was a brief pause.

"Could you teach me, Master?"

Qui-Gon smiled and nodded.

"Of course."

Obi-Wan tossed his robe off to the side and joined his Master.

The two spent the couple hours in dancing lessons until the dance came naturally to Obi-Wan.

The dancing lessons brought them closer together, strengthened their bond, and taught them to move in near perfect sync with each other, just as it had with Qui-Gon and Dooku.
