I rounded the corner, as Saaya yakked away in her usual mass of S-babble. She was my best friend, and the only time I've ever heard shut up, was when her dog, Uchiru died. I don't get dog-people. The big, masses of fur could choke you if you were unlucky enough to get a mouthful. I preferred cats. They didn't make a sound, and were only around so often, that you didn't have to feed them much.
They'd just go dive in some bin and scare up some food. But ever since the step-loser arrived, mom made me get rid of my cat, Chirrup. I loved the old, tatty, ginger tomcat to bits! Mentally insulting my step father, Yukiya Tsumungu, I wave of uncertainty crept over me. Who was that tall person stood by my locker?
I don't know if anyone else noticed him before me, but once I'd fallen to the floor screaming in agony, I was pretty sure they all did.
He was tall, dark and brooding. He had long, raven coloured hair that hung straight and stopped at his shoulders. The stranger owned a pair of honey-golden eyes, similar to my own, but his eyes held mysteries, dark, foreboding mysteries I was pretty sure I didn't want to know. But there was one thing, or things that stood out most of all on his dark skin. In complete contrast, strong, thick, knot like, sapphire ribbons were flowing in a line down his strong cheeks, and finishing on either side of his chin. They were big, but not obnoxious. And sat neatly in the middle of his forehead, was a beautiful, sapphire crescent moon. This man was a Vampyre. Well, Hell!
It all happened very suddenly. One second I was having a mental tirade on how to eliminate the step-loser, when the breath taking man pointed a finger at my forehead. His voice was deep and commanding.
"Hinamori Amu, the goddess Nyx has chosen you. You have been Marked, and are too leave for the House Of Night immediately."
My shoulder length pink hair flew back, and my clothes flapped around me in a mad panic. It was as though I was caught in my own little whirlwind. It was sensational, and distracted me from the pain burying itself in my forehead.
Then quickly changing, I was suddenly hot, but not too hot. It felt like a summer's day.
As I was adjusting nicely to this change, it happened again. This time it felt as though I was being gently nudged along by the waves, swimming in a crystal clear ocean.
Then yet again, it changed. This time, it was as though it was as if I was stood in a field. I could smell freshly cut grass, and feel it beneath my feet. It felt amazing.
I almost expected it to, and it did.
Change.
Again.
But I could get used this. This time, it felt as if I was at one with this element. It was me, and I was it. My soul leaped in joy, and all the sorrows I had ever had were replaced with happiness. So I was pretty elated. I was struggling to identify this element, and as though someone were reading my mind, a beautiful, soothing voice whispered within my mind;
"Spirit…"
And I blacked out.
_...
Okay. So basically this is going to be my take on the House Of Night Novels. Of Which I DO NOT OWN. So…. Yeah. It will have its own twists, and will not use every single last detail that the books have. Soo…. Review? Taa very muchly =P
