Ok so I got the idea for this from another fic called 'Settling the Score' So yes it is an Oliver Wood fanfic. Ive also taken bits from some of my old works and incorporated it into this one. Now to the stuff I legally have to say: I don't own Harry potter or any of its characters blahblahblah the only characters I do own are Dani and Amelia. Lastly I didn't include the Golden Trio I just didn't think they fit in with my plot line sorry i'm not sorry.

Two hundred and fifty one. Thats how many wooden panels are nailed together in the ceiling of the quidditch locker room. I know this because I need something to occupy myself while Wood blabbers on about game plans and what not. "Oi Lawson" Wood's thick Scottish accent shook me out of my panel counting ritual. I looked at him, bored. "Can I help you?"

"Yea actually you can. Stop staring at the sodding ceiling and pay attention" he scolded

I scoffed and pretended to pay attention. We had our first game of the season coming up against Hufflepuff and he was going over the plan for the game. Hufflepuff was easy, I mean no offence but they weren't the best team, I mean they were better than Ravenclaw but they were still no big deal. Besides I had a plan of my own.

"Oh come on Dani it's not that bad" alicia rolled her eyes

"Maybe it isn't but when you're impatient and starving it sure as hell seems like it"

She shut her astrology book and switched it out for potions. "Whatever, I don't get why you hate him so much

"Its not that I hate him" I explained and I really didn't I didn't hate Oliver he was just a prick and I thought his attitude could use a bit of a makeover, "it's complicated" I muttered as I stared at my week late Herbology papers. Maybe I could get Katie to do them for me she likes that class. Almost on cue Katie walked into our dormitory with Amelia our other roommate. "Hey Kats" I smiled warmly.

She raised an eyebrow in suspicion, "What'd you do?"

"Nothing I just had a favour to ask y-"

She cut me off with an extravagant getting wha I was about to ask. "Dani I can't keep doing your herbology homework for you. Honestly it's not that hard I'm sure you can figure it out"

I looked at Amelia for back up. "Don't look at me," she scoffed, "I suck at that class"

"Come on please Katie I swear it will be the last time"

She sighed and took the papers, "last time, sure"

"Lawson!" Oliver called from the ground. His voice was barely audible with the wind. I flew down so that I was hovering barely over his head. "What"

"Ten laps"

"What why?! I wasn't doing anything wrong" I protested at his ridiculous request

"Yes you were I went over the game plan yesterday and all I've seen you do is anything but what I told you to do. You obviously weren't paying attention,"

"I was too! I just think my plan is better"

"You think so?" His face was serious but there was a smirk in his eyes

"Yea"

"Oh well, thats too bad, 'cause I don't really care. Ten laps"

I grunted and turned my broom around, shooting upward, nearly nocking Alicia off her broom. The first few laps I completed at full speed, but I started to slow down around five and by ten my adrenaline had faded and I was tired. "Wood, I finished your bloody laps!" I called

"Ten more!"
