Anything Marinette could wear looked amazing, and so Nino found himself stopped beside a bench, slightly nervous at the thought of moving, as she glanced his way. White, thin straps highlighting her gorgeous, lightly freckled shoulders and falling just lower was a white sundress with ruffles from about mid-belly down to just a little above her knees.
Her hair was loose, falling just around her shoulders, just enough above them that Nino could still see the white straps of her dress, and he was absolutely positive that his mouth had went dry, "M-Marinette? Hi." His voice fell mostly breathless as he finally willed himself to speak.
"Hey," She waved, and her bright smile coupled with the fact that she acted like this was any other day confirmed that she wasn't as stunned with her mouth tripping over her words like he was.
Nino suddenly really regretted his old T-Shirt and well worn jeans that the color was just starting to be a lighter blue than what he'd bought them as. Was fashion really that noticeable normally? Did it spark up a room? He'd never really noticed before, but seeing Marinette's slightly pale skin highlighted by white still left him more than a little breathless with a dazed, stuttering heart and a tongue that wasn't much better off.
"S-So..?" Nino tried for coherency at the face of such a beautiful woman, "U-Uh, you have nice shoulders."
"Oh, thanks." She smiled, and suddenly he realized that her face had little, tiny freckles too, "I was worried that this would be too much." Her smile looked so pretty though nervous as she twirled in a circle. She was too cute; Nino was absolutely positive that he won't survive this day out with her any longer if she keeps stunning him with her cute, innocent beauty.
"Y-Yeah, it looks nice." If there was a slight pause between 'looks' and 'nice,' Nino was going to pretend that there wasn't for the sake of his sanity. He really wished that his vocabulary could sound way more advanced than that of a five year old, but he couldn't really find the words to explain how the white ruffles hit the sunlight or the way that her suddenly bare shoulders distracted him or well, bare except for those little straps.
They weren't overly small things, but they certainly weren't sleeves and looked so, so nice on her shoulders, and he wondered if there really was a word for what they sort of were right now. Friends but yet not quite just that. They toed the line awkwardly between friendly outing and date; Marinette looked pretty enough to be on a date with a boy that she really liked, and Nino, well, he felt like he looked more like he was hanging out with a guy friend than a girl as pretty as the one that he really was.
Just, if Nino could ever find the right words, he'd ask her out. She was so kindhearted most of the time, was really sweet, and definitely looked so, so pretty seemingly without trying, but he wouldn't stake his bets on it being an effortless outfit since he was pretty sure that she'd designed it herself.
He wondered though where her signature was since it wasn't visible as far as he noticed, and he was pretty sure, almost a hundred percent sure actually, that she'd made the dress that fit her better than any store bought one ever could.
