Author's Note: Tiny oneshot. AHS Coven- Foxxay AU. Misty vanished one evening, feeling the strongest sense of need to escape. Upon her return, Cordelia Goode has to face the woman she thought left her behind.
Cordelia's whole body froze. She couldn't breathe. Stood before her, dirty, tired and casting shadows of light around her into the house, was Misty Day. She'd thought that the woman had become nothing but a ghost from her past.
The witch had a sad smile on her face and an apologetic expression. It didn't make up for the months she'd been missing.
Cordelia couldn't choke back her sob. She clenched her fists at her sides as to stop the shaking. "Where have you been?"
The necromancer bit her lip, tears shining in her eyes. She just had to be away. She'd needed to be free, home, away from all the madness. The only person grasping at her guilt was Cordelia. She couldn't bear to have left her. The woman was the reason she was back. "I was in the wild."
The Supreme couldn't wait any longer, no matter how angry she was, she felt too strong a sense of relief not to pull the woman into her arms. Misty laughed with tears and held her back tightly, savouring the fresh, floral smell that was so perfectly Cordelia. "I've missed ya so much, Delia."
"I've missed you too." Cordelia laughed gently. She pulled away and cupped the younger witch's cheeks, dark eyes meeting light ones. "Don't you ever run away from me again."
Relishing her touch, Misty nodded quickly. She hated how much she'd clearly saddened the woman. "I promise, Dee. I'll never leave ya again."
"If you do, you're taking me with you," the Supreme said with a soft grin.
