Chapter 1: Mr. Toad
Once upon a time there was this girl named Kit-Kat. She lived in a cottage by the woods. She always wanted to venture off into the woods but her mother forbidden her from ever entering. Then one day she decided to go against her mother's will and go into the trees. It was very dark in the forest so dark that Kit-Kat had no idea where she was going. Then she tripped over a rock. "Ouch!" she yelled. Angrily she kicked the stone and said "Stupid rock!"
Then from somewhere in the darkness came a croaky voice, "It's not the rocks fault that you tripped over it, it's yours. You should have been watching were you put your feet!"
"Who said that?" said Kit-Kat fearfully.
"The name's toad, Mr. H. Toad" said the voice.
"Mr. Toad, that's a weird name!" said Kit-Kat.
"Not if you're a frog, my dear" said Mr. Toad.
"I'm not a princess so don't expect me to kiss you!" said Kit-Kat.
"Well, I'm not a prince so I'm not!" said Mr. Toad.
"Hey, why not I take you home?" she asked.
"Sure, I'd love to come with you!" said Mr. Toad.
Mr. Toad jumped into Kit-Kat's hands, he felt a bit slimy to her but she still held him.
"My name is Kit-Kat!" she said
"Kit-Kit, now that is a weird name?" Mr. Toad said
She giggled and said "Well, that's my name!"
Then Kit-Kat started walking back to her cottage with Mr. Toad sitting patiently in her hands.
