I always wondered what made Puck turn back. I know he'd left because he hadn't wanted to confront Oberon, but they never explained why he came back. This takes a look at that. It's also my first Gargoyle fic. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I own nothing. This all belongs to Greg Weisman and Disney. I wished they play this during the day.

Puck paused as he crossed the international date line. Dammit, why was he running away? He said that he would act as Xanatos' servant, to stay with him no matter what and he's abdanoning that promise now? Puck stopped and looked back in general direction of New York. He knew what going back meant. What could happen to him. Did he really want to risk that?

"Or are you too much of a coward?" Owen's apparition in front of him asked. Puck rolled his eyes, knowing, not matter how much he wished he wasn't, that Owen was right. And the right thing to do, would be to go back.

"Are you calling me a coward?" Puck asked, even as he turned to head back to New York.

"No, you're calling yourself a coward. Not I." he said, cleaning his glasses. Puck rolled his eyes.

"Must you always be so sanctimonious?" Puck demanded, adjusting his flight around and airliner.

"I'm not sanctimonious, I'm merely correct." Owen said, replacing his glasses.

"Mmhmm. They just happen to sound alike?" Puck asked sarcastically. Owen grinned. It was disturbingly Puck expression.

"Yes, they do." he said and disappeared. Puck rolled his eyes again.

"Great, my concious has a bad New England accent." Puck muttered. He could hear Owen laughing at him in his mind. "Oh, shut up." he muttered.

The laughter increased.
