It was a hot summer day, the hottest you've ever experienced. You sluggishly made your way to school. It was your first year, and the high school was fairly large. Exhausted from the walk, you slump into your chair and rest your head on the desk. You had one more day until summer vacation. You wish time would hurry up.

Your name is (F/N). You go to school, come home, do homework, eat, sleep. You've always been a normal kid. That is until, you almost died. You don't remember much, but soon after your father was hospitalised, you had a heart attack. Rare for one of your age at the time. After you had come back to, your father was dead. You don't remember why he was there in the first place. Your mother refused to look at you. She said you were hellspawn. At the time, you were heartbroken, but know, you realize she was probably right. You could see heat, like a snake. All sorts of colors. You didn't know then, but you do know. You know how to control it. How to use it to your advantage. Although such a situation never came up, you were ready.

Ready for anything. But not this.

"She died!?"

"How horrible! How's her family taking it?"

"I don't know, but I heard her dad was horrified."

As soon as you came back from summer vacation, you wished that you never wished for time to hurry up. You wanted it to go back.
