"Owww... My head..."
She rubbed the physical indent that had formed in her skull where she had hit the ground. Several feet away sat a bed of golden buttercups. If only she had landed in those... She snapped out of it and looked around. She had been rock climbing with her father, and... Well, look where that ended her. Her father had fallen, and his line broke, and then she went after him, only to fall herself, albeit much shorter a distance. Her father... Didn't look alive when she saw him. He had lost his arm, and his leg was split into two pieces. Her mother was following them by helicopter, so they should see them, right?
... Didn't they say they were going back for fuel?
The tears started falling before she crumpled to the ground. She was alone out here, in a scary cave, with some bed of flowers...
That were TALKING???
"Hey, Friend? You lost?" One of them said, peering out of the field of others. It's eyes, (yes, EYES) looked genuinely concerned. She stifled a scream, and just nodded. "Oh, that's too bad. Anybody else with you?" It said, inching closer and closer to her, "Or are you alone..? That would stink, being all alone." She shook her head, still stifling that scream. "Well, golly, I better teach you how to duel then, so you don't get ABSOLUTLY R.E.K.T. out her in the underground... You see, the art of the shadow game is used commonly to settle disputes down here, and you don't wanna have yourself flung into the shadow realm for all eternity, now do ya?" I rose to my feet. "Thank you for your offer, but I already know how to play duel monsters..." I said, and I checked my deck pocket to make sure it was still there. Thankfully, it was. Sounds like I'll need it to get through this one...
"Hold on now," the flower said, raising a massive wall of thorns to block the way, a crooked smile appearing on its face, "Now when did I say you could leave? I want a duel. NOW!"
The thorn wall retracted.
"Just to make sure you are up to snuff, you understand?"
His nice smile was back.
Oh, Obelisk smite me where I stand, I'm in trouble.

So, that's our first chapter. Now, our main character is a bit older than frisk is, (about 14), and is confirmed female, as we will see reasons for later. Hope you enjoyed this first chapter. Can't wait to release the second one. Also, you get a shoutout if you get our first challenge question correct on your first guess, as well as leaving an actual review (I need all the feedback I can get)
This chapter's challenge question- What kind of deck will our heroine use in this duel??? ( Hint- I use this kind of deck in yugioh duel links on mobile, so It must be possible using those available cards.)
(Edit #1- To make things simpler, we will be using Duel link rules as well, (4000 LP at start, 3 monster and 3 spell/trap zones, No synchro, No XYZ, No Pendulum, 4 cards at start, deck limit 30.)
