"I can't believe we're stuck here," Dean said.
The car never broke down, never—Dean made sure of it. But no sooner had they rolled into town than the engine died, and Dean couldn't fix it. They'd had to get a tow, then take a bus to the motel.
Now it was raining.
"Anything on TV?"
"Just soaps." Sam checked the coffee table. "And Monopoly. Dibs on the dog!"
Dean sat. "Just for that, I'm kicking your ass."
"Dream on. So—mandatory purchases and no loans?"
"Of course."
"Your roll."
"Reading Railroad!"
Suddenly, the forced downtime didn't seem so bad.
