Prologue
"What room is he in!?" Sasuke shouted. Pure anger raged in both his voice and eyes.
"R-Room 223." the nurse stuttered.
The raven ran, tears welled in his eyes as he opened the pine wood door. Softly and ever so silently he stepped inside, gently shutting the door. "Naruto." he whispered, seeing a pair of pale cerulean eyes shift toward him. He knelled down beside the bed.
"Sasu-kun." Naruto rasped.
"No, please. Don't speak." Sasuke choked out. How could he... How dare he... "Naruto... I love you, you know that right? I came as soon as I heard about you. I worried about you so much. You're gonna be okay, I promise. I love you, Naruto. I lo-love... I-" the poor raven broke down and clutched the white sheets that gently lay on top of Naruto.
His emotions got the better of him. So much sorrow and hurt build in his chest. It was painful to look at the blond. A mere glance tore him in half. The scratches, bruises, cuts. Stitches and blood. The depressing sight clawed at Sasuke's heart. A cold hand touched his cheek.
Naruto's eyes filled with tears. "I love you too, Sasu-kun." he whispered, "I love you so much. Please, Sasu-kun. Please tell me I'm okay."
"I'll do everything I can. You will live. I promise you'll live, Naru." Sasuke murmured lowly, gently placing a hand on Naruto's, which rested on his cheek. But then there was silence. Fear pumped through Sasuke's veins. "Naru?" he whispered.
No response. Those cerulean eyes were closed. "N-Naru-k-kun?" Sasuke spluttered, unconscious tears falling from his eyes. No answer. His body numbed to an almost paralyzed state. This couldn't be the end. It can't. He ran from the room. "Nurse!" he yelled.
Startled, many nurses turned his way.
The poor raven boy collapsed to his knees, tightly clutching his head. "Help him!" he nearly screamed.
Nurses exchanged glances and filled room 233. "He fell into a coma!" "A severe one, get the doctor! Now!"
Everything flashed by so quickly. Sasuke's mind blocked out the noise. The commotion. The yelling and screaming. The beeping of hospital machinery. Everything. As he turned back to face his worst fear, everyone was gone. The nurses. Naruto. It all faded and merged black. Gone. The raven stood. His head pulsed and throbbed. He leaned against a wall without even knowing it was there. "Naru..." he whispered, "My precious, Naru-kun..."
