Chapter 1
a difrent perspective
It was a sunny day rather slow since Sonic and friends
had defeated Lord Rakoo everything had been fairly quiet
even had been busy repairing the damages
caused by Rakoo's was enjoying the sun,
napping in a tree, when he over heard Shadow and Nira
walking below.
"So when do you entend to tell them?"
"I told you I'll tell them when thier ready to know"
Sonic glanced down and saw them arguing down below.
"what are they up to"
Out of pure curiosity he jumped down to intercept them.
"agh" Nira stood for a moment griping her chest and
regaining her balance.
"Don't do that you scared the living daylights out of
me."
Shadow held out an arm for her that was briskly swatted
away
"I'm fine"
Nira exchanged a glance with Shadow that seemed to say
somthing Sonic couldn't inturparte.
"So what is it you need to tell "us""
Nira looked at him in surprise
"you heard that?"
"Why are you hiding somthing?" Sonic probed teasingly
looking her in the eyes. Nira turned away
"what gives you that impresion"
Shadow took a step forward warning Sonic not to get
closer to took a step back mildly iritated by
Shadow's over all mistrust towards just about everyone.
"Do you make a habit of evasdroping you may hear
something you shouldn't"
"Nira said you weren't hiding anything" Sonic retorted
trying to turn the tables of the
sighed "If you must know we were debating when we should
tell you and the others..."
"Tell me what?"
"Nira is pregnant" shadow replied calmly as if the news
was stood there for a moment unable to say
began smaking Shadows arm
"SHADOW!"
"what! you were going to tell him anyway"
"NOT LIKE THAT!"
"WELL WHAT WERE YOU INTENDING TO SAY"
"ITS NOT WHAT ITS WHEN"
Sonic took Shadow by the arm "Can i speak to you in
private for a moment" he said trying to keep his voice
from shaking. Shadow looked at Nira then alowed Sonic to
pull him aside, making sure to stand on the oposit side
of the tree.
"What is it"
At that moment Sonic let rage pulse throw him and landed
a hard blow across Shadows face.
"OW WHAT WAS THAT"
sonic let his fist down and forced it to stop
shaking."what do you think your doing how dare you.."
Shadow held up his index fingure while wiping a bit of
blood off his face with the other hand "now befor you
deside to hit me again let me tell you this was Nira's
idia"
Sonic looked at him in surprise "what? why?"
"she said she wanted a baby I just went along with it"
shadow said inspecting the level of damage Sonic had
done to his face by probing it with his figures.
"Shadow this isn't a descision you make on the spur of
the moment" Shadow looked up at him " why do you care so
much its got nothing to do with you besides nira is old
enof to make her own desicions" Soninc twitched thinking
of the best responce "she's a good freind I dont want
one stupid desicion to" shadow inturupted "To what? if
it makes her happy whats the problem" Sonic met his eyes
with Shadow's "If you love her so much you would have
said no!"
"I didn't because I love her and respect her enof to let
her make her own decisions"
for a moment the two stood nose to nose challange in
there eyes. after what felt like ages nira apered
"Sonic if you don't mind I'd apeciate you not
interigating the father of my child" Sonic gave shadow a
last long glare and as Shadow walked off he turned and
said "It dosen't matter what you think what's done is
done" the words held another meaning but sonic was to
irritated to notice.
