For as long as he could remember he had had this addiction
This bad, this gruesome and horrible affliction
The only thing that had kept him sane,

Winning had had its cost
Everyone he'd ever loved were lost
Because of him, they had all died
Every night he had cried
Inebriation became his consolation
Oh, how he loved that sensation
He was never anymore really sober

The pain of losing everything
Oh, how his heart was aching
Alcohol, his oldest friend
Maybe his only one in the end
