Blue is what clouded her vision; all that she saw before she slipped under. When she woke everything around her was white; the small room smelled of antiseptics and it made her dizzy. Obviously she was in a hospital; the flimsy gown she was dressed in confirmed that, but she didn't know why. She couldn't remember who she was; nothing of her life. Every time she tried to get through the blackness it pulled her back in; engulfing her. Name, what was hers? She struggled to remember; blurry images would flash before her; never stopping long enough for her to make sense of it.

There was a gentle knock at the door followed by a whispered conversation. The voices seemed vaguely familiar; nothing she really acknowledged.

"Cat." One of the people outside of her door whispered.

She thought for a moment. Was that her name? Was she Cat? What did she like? As she contemplated these the door slowly opened; letting her know the person wasn't a threat to her.

A short boy walked in; his blue eyes holding fear and sadness. His blonde hair was matted against his forehead; his clothes were wrinkled.

"Cat." He said as he wrapped his arms around the fragile girl. "I'm so happy you're alive." He whispered in her ear.

She didn't know what to say; she didn't know what this boy was to her. Was he her brother; her velvet colored hair dismissed the thought. He must be romantically linked to her, but again the thought was dismissed; he was to perfect; too gorgeous.

The boy pulled back to look at her face; sadness creeping upon his own. "Cat it's me. Niall, your boyfriend."

Kat struggled to find her voice; she hasn't used it in so long. "Niall? What's my full name?"

He forced a smile. "Caterina Hannah Valentine."

She smiled and laughed. "I have a funny name."

Niall smiled; comforted by her laugh. "It's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl."
