No Escape

Chapter 1

Xavier's POV:
I wake up in my bed in District Seven. I'm an only child. My name is Xavier Star. I have short brown hair that sticks up in the front, green eyes; I'm kind of tall, kind of muscular, and pretty strong. Today is reaping dat. I'm not really scared because my family is kind of mean so I think I'll volunteer if I'm not reaped. I already know what weapon I'm going to use. A bow. I'm kind of good with those. Being from District Seven my best bet would be an axe but that seems to…original. I was always, slightly, different from everyone else in Seven. I didn't like to cut down trees but I liked to sleep in them until they got chopped down. That part wasn't very fun. Anyways, yeah, the reaping.

~FAST-FOWARD TOO THE REAPING~

"Ladies first!" Aquarius, the District Seven escort, says into the microphone.

Aquarius is wearing all sea foam colored clothes besides her hair, which is orange. She walks over to the bowl that holds a slip of paper with every girl in the District's name. She pulls a slip of paper out of it, opens it up, and reads the name. "Skylar Burry!" Aquarius says. Skylar is one of my best friends. She had long black hair, grey eyes, and came up to my chest. I was very tan and she was slightly pale. Anyways, she got reaped. She wore a beautiful white dress and heels, a golden charm bracelet, and a golden necklace. I wore black pants that were really tight, black dress shirt, and black shoes. "Now, for the boys!" Aquarius says and walks over to the boys' reaping bowl. She pulls out the piece of paper, walks over to the microphone, opens it up, and reads the name. "Xavier Star!"

AUTHORS NOTE: So, I just want you to know, Skylar and Xavier are Meghan Camarena and Joey Graceffa from YouTube. And I'm not going to post the train ride to the Capitol because I think that would take too long and I want to get too the Capitol and training as fast as possible.
