Sam Carter stood in General Hammond's old office. She knew it belonged to her friend Jack O'Neill, but she still couldn't get used to saying that. She thought of Jack. She thought of his protection and caring.

She thought of how he showed her things she had never seen before.

She remembered how happy he made her.

Sam broke down. Jack heard her, and entered softly, as if breaking into his own office. Which he actually sort of was. She didn't notice.

Jack looked into Sam's eyes. They were brimming with tears, but he wiped them away. He leaned down and kissed her gently. She broke away, smiled, then dove back into his arms. He kissed her again and again.
