I don't need your help Katie shouted at Dillon. Were here to help you we
won't hurt you. And you expect me to believe that do you Katie shouted
again.
Simon sat down next to Katie on her bed. You have been hit by your parents
Dillon stated the obvious. It's happened before now it's happened loads of
times before I coped without help then and I'm still alive so what's
different now. It's like a cat has nine lives Simon quoted the famous
phrase, you see there are only so many times you can be hurt before you get
seriously ill. You were lucky that your nine lives didn't run out on you
this time and we want to make sure they never get the chance to run out on
you. How do you propose to do that Katie asks. Two ways Dillon says softly
we want to examine you first and treat you for your injuries then we want
to contact somebody who with look after you properly. We can't let you go
back to live with your Mum and Dad it wouldn't be right there is a chance
they could hurt you again.
So Katie Simon asks will you let me have a look at you? No Katie shouts. He
won't hurt you Dillon tries to persuade Katie to let Simon examine her and
I'll be here to see that he doesn't Katie rests her head back against the
back of the bed so that Simon can examine her. Go easy on her Dillon mouths
to Simon.
Can I see you tummy Simon asks Katie Y.e..s Katie replies hesitantly. Try
to relax Katie Dillon tells her Good girl can you sit forward for me so
that I can see your back Simon sees a lot of bruising on Katie's back Can I
have a word Dillon Simon asks. Sure Dillon replies.
Simon and Dillon disappear off into the corridor. Did you see that Bruising
poor girl Simon says to Dillon I think we should get the police involved.
No we can't think what hell the poor girl would have to go through if the
police found out. Well what else do you propose we do? Can't one of us look
after knew at least that way she would be with people she knows she can
trust. Dillon!
