absence

Draco had a white canvas and a black charcoal.

And with a white canvas and a black charcoal, he could create.

And he created his world and created his people and created his feelings and created his Harry.

His colourless Harry, who was just black and white, contrast and absence of colour.

Harry Potter had never had colours.

Or perhaps he had and Draco just couldn't see them.

Draco had hematite and silver in his eyes and platinum in his hair. Silver. He was all silver, and silver was a colour.

Harry had black and white. All of him, completely. His hair and skin, and his absence of colour.

And Harry used to have emeralds in his eyes. And blood in his lips.

But Draco didn't care about emeralds, just like he didn't care about silver, or blood, or anything else.

Harry was black and white.

Charcoal and pure canvas.

Closed eyes.

Stopped breath.

Empty house.

Aching loneliness.

Still body.

And absence.

Black lines, staining the white, the darkness of his soul and the pureness of Harry's.

All that was left from them both.

Nothingness.

The auror attacked by surprise.

The dark wizard who was killed in prison.

People crying in the streets.

And his lover painting on the pure white canvas with a black charcoal everything that was left of his saviour and love: his absence.

the end.

Be dear and
