He was blinded by the sun, the only hint that stated that it was already morning. The young Agent Booth covered his eyes through the help of his own two hands, and slowly he tried to figure out in which part of his apartment he was at...

This is not my bed, he thought to himself. As he tried to get clearer picture of where he was.

not the living room either, he thought again. He endured the bright sun once again as he tried feel his surrounding only to touch the carpet he was sleeping on.

Alright, this is not my apartment, he alerted himself finally. Booth tried his best to sit up but his headache disagreed to his own command.

Instantly, his unbearable headache reminded him of the night's hazy adventure. He won his weekly billiards game, against most of the hustlers in town. He was feeling lucky that night, and to prove it he drank more shots than he could even afford.

"The last guy made you win", a voice said behind him. Seeley quickly look behind him and noticed a woman almost as tall as he was. Her presence made the young agent get up off his stool.

"I won fair and square", he replied with a smirk.

"I disagree", the woman said again. "he could've pocketed the 9-ball but he intentionally missed it."

"Maybe, it wasn't his lucky night", Seeley stated. Want a drink?

"I don't drink with strangers."

"Hi, I'm Seeley", he said extending his hand for her to shake.

"Temperance", the woman replied extending her hand to touch his.

"So... we are not strangers anymore, why don't you have a drink with me?", Booth asked again.

Temperance was still hesitant, but agreed by sitting on the stool beside Booth's.

"Alright", he exclaimed. "Bartender, two shots of tequila."

"This is going to be a long night for both of us", Temperance stated.

Booth flashed back to his reality; with a splitting headache he was able to spot a container of aspirin on a table just a couple of feet from him. He crawled his way to it, being careful not to inflict more pain on himself as his confirmed hangover is giving him. He reached for the small container, lifting it off a small with it.

I've already gone to work. Please help yourself to whatever you need for breakfast.

-Temperance

Seeley slowly read the note, and read it again to make sure he understood what was written. He neatly folded the note and placed it in his pocket, then drank his usual number of aspirins during his hangover mornings. After a couple of more minutes on the floor, the agent slowly stood up, and made his way to the door.

This is going to be a different day.
