I still can't believe I kissed a girl, or more importantly she kissed me. I mean I can't be a lesbian... can I? God so many thoughts running around in my head and I can't turn them off. Shut up Paige's brain! And oh yeah, stellar move running away and avoiding the entire situation. What am I retarded? Lexi must think… Actually I think it's a safe bet I have no idea what she's thinking. After talking to Kevin and him imparting his kind words of wisdom to me I think I feel better about the kiss. I need to find Lexi right away and talk to her about this.
Great Lexi, you kiss the girl you're absolutely in love with and she runs away stuttering. At least she didn't run screaming or think it was gross. I'm pretty sure she was into it before her brain kicked in. Her lips felt impossibly soft. And even if nothing happens it was totally worth it. Uh oh, here she comes down the hall, avoidance is necessary.
Damn! Everyone in this hallway needs to get out of my way! I caught a glimpse of her hair… I see Craig about to enter class nearby.
"Hey Craig," I call out, "Have you seen Lexi?"
"Yeah she just bolted into the bathroom like her butt was on fire." He grinned.
"Thanks." I said quickly as I proceeded to bolt in much the same manner.
Good I don't think she saw me, Lexi thought to herself.
"Lexi? Come on I saw you come in here." Paige's voice echoed throughout the bathroom. Lexi cringed slightly and unlocked the bathroom stall with an audible click and pushed it open.
"I suppose hiding in the girls washroom was kind of a stupid move eh?" Lexi asked her lopsided grin in place.
"Just a little." Paige replied with a roll of her eyes and a little shrug. There was a brief and uncomfortable silence until they heard the bathroom door opening once more. Paige's eyes practically popped out of her head as Lexi pulled her into the bathroom stall and locked the door. They stood facing each other in silence until whoever it was left and then both girls breathed a sigh of relief.
"So…" Lexi said peeking out from her curtain of dark hair.
"You kissed me." Paige stated.
"I noticed."
"Be serious." Paige pouted. And she looked so cute when she did it that Lexi couldn't stop herself from touching the blonde. She reached out and pushed a stray lock of hair away from Paige's cheek.
"I like you, well more than that but anyway if you're not into it that's totally cool I mean we're friends right?" Lexi asked. Lexi was showing her vulnerable side, which didn't happen often but seemed to happen more and more when she was around Paige. Paige heard the desperation in her question and needed to affirm right away that Lexi and her would always be friends'. But she also wanted her to know that the kiss had just taken her off guard and she wasn't opposed to being with her. So as Paige looked at her friend and thought about how much she meant to her she smiled. She knew what to do. She cupped Lexi's cheek and leaned forward into their second kiss. It was different than the first. First off it was longer. Their lips meshed together beautifully and soon Paige's heart was beating quickly. She pulled back and looked into Lexi's eyes to confirm what she'd just done was okay. Lexi was shocked, excited, confused but mostly she was happy.
"Wow." She said.
"Yeah." Paige agreed.
"You can't just do that to a girl and not say anything about it." Lexi exclaimed. Paige laughed.
"What you mean this?" And Paige kissed her again.
The next time someone came into the bathroom they didn't notice.
