Alright, I have to start doing this to avoid being sued. Super Smash Brothers and its characters belong to Nintendo and their respectful owners.
"Here you go, Zelda," Peach said with a gentle smile. Zelda accepted the plant with a quiet but grateful 'thank you' as she took the delicate flower within her gloved hands. Studying the fragile plant in her fingertips, she concluded it was a hydrangea macrophylla normalis, or the 'lacecap hydrangeas'. Despite Zelda's extensive knowledge on, well, everything, she had to admit she loved the hundreds upon thousands of novels and books about botany and anything plant related.
"These are the hydrangeas I planted a while back," Peach began, a mystic look in her eyes. "I remember going to a near-by flower shop and instantly falling in love with their beautiful blue petals. I knew I had to have them!" Zelda couldn't help but smile at the foreign princess' joy. It was times like this where she loathed to have Peach's blissful ignorance.
"Zelda? May I tell you something?" Zelda snapped back to reality and glanced at Peach, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, you may."
"Well, to be honest, I actually got these flowers because they remind me of you." She giggled at Zelda's puzzled expression.
"They… reminded you of… me?" she stuttered slightly, completely thrown off.
"Of course! The blue reminded me of how cool and calm you are, especially under pressure. They weren't too flashy and attention-seeking, like you, but they grow onto you and you learn to love them."
Love? Zelda wasn't alien to the word, but it made her feel warm inside to hear it come from her best friend. Peach may have thrown the word around a lot, but she could tell the princess truly meant it.
"You are too much, Princess." Peach laughed and pulled Zelda into one of her infamous hugs that can cure even the most broken of hearts. Zelda smiled and returned the hug, still twirling the hydrangea with her fingertips.
Yeah, well, I might be dead. Just kidding. I... don't know where I'm going with WAWD or what I'm doing with it, but it's on hiatus, I suppose? Nothing is going on at home or school. I suppose I'm just procrastinating (that word sends shivers down my spine), but I will hopefully finish Chapter 5.5 and post it. So for now, enjoy two best friends bonding in a beautiful garden.
