Fanfic Challenge: We Are Famil- Wha?
Rules:
- Choose one of the following prompts. Brownie Points: Select ALL prompts and try combining them into a chapter fic! ;)
- TRY to keep in Kingdom Hearts archive, but if you feel as if you need to place this in crossover or another archive, go for it.
- Keep one of the genres marked as FAMILY. Genre 2 depends on the prompt you take.
- Combine Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and The World Ends with You all into one fanfic where they're related with one another.
* Example: Roxas and Ventus as twins with Neku as their cousin or brother... Vanitas and Sora as twins with Xion as their sister and Squall as their uncle... Aerith and Zack as the parents of Sora, Vanitas, and Xion... Cloud and Tifa being the parents of Roxas and Ventus... Snow Villiers being the cousin of Beat and Rhyme Bito... Lightning and Serah Farron being the sisters of Marluxia... Whatever you want!
- Make sure that the character who does NOT have a surname takes one when they are put in a family relation!
*Example: Cloud Strife. Roxas Strife, Ventus Strife...
- Clarify who is related to who in your author notes or make it obvious as you go along.
- Try to select three characters that are in relation with a TWEWY character and a Final Fantasy (or Final Fantasy in relation to TWEWY and KH, or TWEWY in relation to KH and Final Fantasy). If not three, at least one.
- First person point of view if you choose ONE CHARACTER!
- Third person limited if you choose THREE CHARACTERS!
Your prompt choices:
- "Waking up on a Saturday morning, accidentally setting the alarm to go off at five in the morning was not a good sign... Neither was spilling salt and throwing it over your shoulder into your best friend's eye, interrupting your father's most important meeting of his life, or locking your brother/sister in the attic for about two hours when you thought they were out with their friends already... Well, that was just Saturday, right? Things would get better over the week... right?"
- *"Friends or family... Choose."
- **"It doesn't matter how mad I am at you, or if we fought before you went off and nearly got yourself killed. We're family and we stick together no matter what. We may have ups and downs, but as long as we pull through, that's all that matters."
'*' - Have one of your main characters stuck in a group of friends that is quite... dangerous, but they don't see the bad influence. Then, have a family member of that character try to convince your main protagonist to change thier mind and see the light. Warning: If you choose this prompt, set genre 2 as hurt/comfort, or angst, whichever fits. This is NOT a light and happy prompt; I want this to be as serious and realistic as you can get.
'**' - Can be built off from prompt 2 as opposed to prompt 1. Or try this instead: Have Character A (main character) be in an abusive relationship with a partner (not necessarily physical, or sexual; can be peer pressure too) and have their closest family member suspect something's not right and have them negotiate and try to find out the truth. Put the family member as Character B. Genre should be set to the same as those in prompt 2.
Note: Prompts 2 and 3 go hand in hand... So there's a slight challenge if you want to include prompt 1 for those double points.
