July 15, 20-
Dear little one,
How did we get here, right? You're probably wondering the same things I am. It's been a rough journey. You scare me sometimes, but I know you just want some attention. I know I've said things that I shouldn't have said about you. I'm sorry for those harsh words. Don't worry, the outside world isn't as scary as it seems in there. You just have to be careful what you do and when you do it. I can already tell you're going to love to run and play with everyone you meet. You may even take them to the Meadow once or twice.
Even though I have cursed your existence at times, I just want you to know that I truly love you and cannot wait to meet you. I want to be able to help you grow the best I can. I know I'll make mistakes, but that is just the joy of learning. I hope my words will always be encouraging rather than pierce your heart so much that it can never be repaired. I want to be able to show you the kind of love that all mothers should have for their children. And I just want you to know that I will never give up on you. You are too precious and innocent for me to do that.
I hope you dream big, take desperate measures, and have hope and courage in everything you do. But most importantly, always remember, you'll always be my little girl.
