The breeze hit my bare arms likes a knife. New York City is hell in December if you don't own a coat. P.S, I don't own a coat. Scurrying along the sidewalk, I finally made it to Tony's Pizzeria, my favorite place to spend my Friday nights.
"Hey Madison!" Cheryl smiled at me. Cheryl was a sassy girl, with a head of hot pink hair and arm if tattoos. Despite her tough appearance, she was one of the nicest people I've ever met.
"Hey Cheryl." I smiled back. I never ordered pizza, as I have no money. But Cher works the night shift, and lets me hang out here.
I slid into one of the ruby red booths, kicking up my feet. It had been a long day.
"Oh my God." Cheryl's terrified whispered pierced my ears, and I turned my head to see a man with a gun.
"I don't want any trouble." He said. He had a sick smile on his face, and the gun was pointed straight at me.
"That's funny considering you're holding a gun to my head." I snapped. So im not the smartest when it comes to dangerous situations. Give me a break I'm thinking on my feet here!
Thats the moment I felt like throwing up. Because at that moment, the man with a gun had one eye. His grew seven feet, making him about 14 feet tall. His head hit the ceiling, and tan skin turned green. A blood curdling scream came from my lips as he swallowed the gun whole.
"HEY FAT FACE!" A voice behind the monastery yelled. I didn't look away from it though. My eyes were locked with its one. The monster then turned its head slightly, in time for a sword to go through it's eye. I think that's about the moment I passed out.
Leo's P.O.V:
"Nice throw Piper!" I patted my friend on the back as the monster turned to dust. The pizza girl behind the counter had run into the kitchen, and the demigod had passed out on the tile floor.
"Come on, let's go before more monsters have a craving for demigod pizza." Piper sighed. Something had been bothering her lately. It was very unnerving, she's normally so chill. Without batting an eye though, I went over and picked the girl up. She was much to light, and I had a feeling it was from lack of food. Chiron had said this girl had a rough past, I'm curious as to how rough.
"This looks way to suspicious." I laughed. Piper agree, and suggested exiting through the back door. I agreed and we went through the kitchen.
"Hey! Hey where are you taking her!" The hot pizza girl yelled.
"Home!" Piper shouted back, as we exited and boarded the chariot.
