One more drabble, guess I'll never write longer fics... This one is Maiko though, and it has a slight Kataang on the background, but since it's focused on Izumi, I decided to post on the LoK category. This one was written for the Royal Family Week - Day 4: Resemblance. Enjoy it, and please let me know if I made any mistake

Also, I'm not sure if the expression on the title is correct, let me know if there's a better one...

"You look like your mother", people used to tell her all the time. They told her during formal dinners when she was wearing her finest robes. They told her when she was reading and distracted from the world, they told her when she was bored and staring out of the window, they told her when she was angry and she was frowning, they told her constantly, friends, acquaintances, and sometimes, even the servants.

However, when she was having tea with Uncle Iroh while listening to his stories, she would ask him something, her eyes shining with excitement. He would laugh and say "You are just like your father…" before answering her, then she would feel confused. She was sure she looked like her mom, since they didn't usually compared her to her dad. But then Uncle would start another story and she would just ignore the new questions and pay attention.

Aang and Katara also commented on her resemblance sometimes, but it seemed like they couldn't decide which parent she looked like. Sometimes they would say she was the spitting image of her mother, other times they would say she really took after her father.

Her parents couldn't decide either. When she was sulking in the corner of her bedroom her mother would tell her to stop being like her father. But when she was concentrating during practice her father would comment on how she and her mother looked alike.

But, as a child, there were things that they didn't use tell her directly, but she listened anyway. They used to say it through whispers when they thought she couldn't hear them. They used to say it half admired, half terrified. They used to say it in a low voice what they couldn't ever say out loud.

"She looks like her aunt."

P.S.: I want to believe that Azula comes back and recovers from whatever she's having, but decided to ignore this possibility so the story has more drama...
