Hola, people. It's me again. Once again, I know I should be working on my other projects, but I found this poem that I had to write for an English class, and I thought, since I actually like this one, what the heck? I'll post it. So, this is a villanelle poem from Juliet's point of view at the very end of the play. Some of it's a little weak, but whatever. Enjoy!
I love, you love, we love, we die.
This, our lonely lover's creed
And all that's left is the deepest sigh.
You lived, you died, I see, I cry
What of the letter? Did you not read?
I love, you love, we love, we die.
You loved me so, you raised me high
True lovers we, a dying breed
And all that's left is the deepest sigh.
We couldn't tell, we had to lie
What is life without the man I need?
I love, you love, we love, we die.
A husband's love, the strongest tie,
Made me dizzier than one drunk with mead,
And all that's left is the deepest sigh.
I cannot live. "Why, oh why?"
You drank, I stab, we've done the deed.
I love, you love, we love, we die,
And all that's left is the deepest sigh.
You know you're in band when "armed guard" means a girl with a pole instead of a man with a gun.
