Every since Della came back, there has been a lot of family bonding. Over several days, she had gotten to know quite a few things about her boys. She learned that Dewey loves the thrill of adventure, Huey loves science, and that Louie loves money. She did notice that Louie was a bit distant however. He didn't really talk too much. She hoped that he would open up more over time. She certainly was trying her darndest to be a good mom. In fact, she made sure to visit their room every night just to talk. Her favorite part of the day would just be to watch them sleep. To see her precious little babies be safe and sound. Sometimes, she would even forget to go back to her room and end up sleeping in her chair. One night, she noticed Louie tossing and turning in his sleep. His body movements became more and more frantic until he woke up gasping for air.

Della immediately asked "Are you ok Sweetie?". Louie responded by jumping out of bed and running out of the room. She was shocked to see Louie in such a frantic state but she had to know what was wrong so she chased after him while thinking "Oh no, you're not getting away from me". He managed to get to the bottom of stairs leading to the main entrance before getting his arm yanked by Della. "And where do you think your going?!" she demanded. Now that she was face to face with him, she could clearly see he was crying. Her gaze softened and she kneeled down to his level to ask in a caring tone "Baby, what's wrong?". Louie then started sobbing into Della's chest. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight grasp until he was able to calm down enough to talk.

"I...I...I-I had a n-nightmare" he revealed. Della figured as much and she decided to inquire more into the situation.

"What was it about honey?" she asked.

After a few deep breaths, Louie said in a more calm tone "I-I dreamed that you didn't love me anymore and wanted nothing to do with me".

"Oh sweetheart, you know that's not true. You know that I love you". Della reminded.

"I know but sometimes I feel like that you love Dewey and Huey more than me. Like you have so much in common with them. You and Huey both love reading books and are both part of that Woodchuck club or whatever and you and Dewey love doing crazy stunts and going on intense adventure but we hardly have anything in common. I'm practically not even your son". He said while tilting his head down in shame.

"Look at me" Della said to which Louie obeyed. "Don't you ever think like that Louie. I don't care how little we have in common. I love you just as much as I love your brothers. I love you all equally. If I didn't, I would be a horrible mom."

"Really?" Louie asked to be sure.

"Of course. You will always be my little triplet. Not better or worse than the others but different and unique just like they are. Besides, I'm sure we do have a lot of stuff in common. We just have to be patient to find out what they are." She said to which she then wrapped Louie in another hug.

After a moment of silence, Louie said "Sorry about freaking you out like that".

"Don't worry about it. Just next time come to talk to me instead of running off like that ok?'

"Ok" Louie agreed.

"Good. Now let's get you back to bed." she said as she picked up Louie and carried him to his bedroom. Once they got back, they noticed Dewey and Huey were still asleep which was a relief to Della. She then gently dropped Louie down onto his bed and tucked him in.

Louie saw that Della wasn't leaving and asked "Aren't you going to sleep?"

"I like to see you boys sleep before I go to sleep. I know it's weird but it helps me calm down."

Louie smiled at that and said. "I love you Mom."

"I love you too. So...Much…" Della said as she kissed Louie's forehead. And with that, Louie closed his eyes and went to sleep excited to spend time with his family tomorrow.
