I couldn't sleep last night, I've been training for this day since preschool. Almost everyone leaves this town when they are at the age of 18. Why my best friend wanted to study math in stead of go to the best Pokémon University in all of the regions combined is beyond me.
Dad used to tell me stories about the world out there and warned me of the dangerous creatures that can breathe fire instantly burning anyone that crosses their path. It's no wonder you're not allowed to go out in the wild unsupervised when you're not an adult yet.
Of course I have been to the many great cities, (Goldenrod being my favorite) but we could only use public underground transit to get there.
All the stories and worried family members didn't do much for me though, I was hungry for an adventure, finally away from these self-centered people that cared more about their television sets than actually enjoying life for themselves, go out there, capture Pokémon and battling strangers to earn money. Yes, I'm definitely excited!
The flight to Kalos was quite relaxing, I gazed over the rocky landscapes where 28 foot creatures defended their territory from being attacked by massive flying fire types. I couldn't believe my eyes seeing the mighty Charizard my dad talked about in his war stories.
