This was something written for iyficcontest's eyes theme. A little fluffy drabble involving Miroku and Kagome. Nothing much.

Looking

"Is there something wrong, Kagome-sama?" Miroku questioned. Kagome had been staring at him for a while.

"I was just curious." She said offhandedly, apparently giving up in favor of the ground.

"Oh? Of what?"

"People have said you can read someone's emotions by looking into their eyes. I wanted to know if it was true." Kagome sat back up and began looking into his eyes.

"I see…and what do you see in my eyes?" Miroku asked playfully.

"I see…" She glared hard at his violet eyes. "A lot of things." She finished lamely. Miroku laughed.

"That doesn't help, now, does it?" Kagome glared at him before going to study his eyes again. This time he looked back into hers.

"I see…fear, happiness, sadness, courage…I don't know, Miroku. I see you." Kagome responded after a while. "Everything that makes you unique."

"Like my dashing charms and abilities."

Kagome laughed. "I wouldn't say that."

"Hmm…" Miroku sat down and give a long hard look into her own eyes. "Do you want to know what I see, Kagome-sama?"

Kagome smiled at the monk. "Sure, Miroku."

"I see courage and strength. And warmth." He added. Kagome grinned up at him.

"Really?" She embraced him tightly. "Thanks." He smiled and returned the hug.

"I see something else." He murmured after a while. Kagome broke the hug and gazed up at him.

"What else do you see?" she asked. He gave her a warm look and patted the top of her head.

"Love."
