Disclaimer: I do not own Samurai Champloo or the characters that are mention in this poem.

A/N: From a few pages back of Fuu's diary as she sits down by the lake before my story "The Butterfly and Her Samurai" was written. I'd just rewritten it and added a bit more. Enjoy, SC fans!

Moonlight Jin

poem by: rose-mirror21

in Fuu's p.o.v. as she writes in her diary:

Moonlight, I saw him

You know the one that I always have spoken of

Personally and secretly to you

That samurai by the name of Jin

I was there that night

That's when I heard a noise coming

From behind me

Slowly, I turned around

There was nothing there

Just the light from the moon

Shadowing over the path

And the rustling of the trees

Was he there for a second behind me?

Or was it just the wind teasing me?

I sworn I heard a whisper

Why would he try to scare me anyways?

He knows me;

However, he should've said something

Maybe it wasn't just nothing

Even though, he never liked me wondering around

Especially, in the middle of the night

That's if he ever'd cared

Well, I'm pretty sure he did many times before

Feeling the same way about me

And me feeling the same way about him

Though, our hearts never had the chance to speak

I wished I've told him when I had the chance

He's so quiet, caring, and so calm all the time

When he's alone with me, that is

He speak to me at times

And I feel comfortable when I'm around him

He's so confident and with him believing in me

Makes me stronger each day goes by

Than that idiot Mugen

In the search for the sunflower samurai for me

We'll all find my search someday

But moonlight; now he's gone

And I don't have any clue of where he is

I know you see him tonight, moonlight

Please, guide him safely back to me

As Mugen and I will move on

There's always more about you, Jin

That I couldn't just put my finger on

My mind just wonders often so much of him

Oh moonlight, where is my samurai?

My samurai Jin

She closes her diary, placed it close to her heart and begins to sob.

A/N: Yes, it was very sweet. - cries - Sorry, 'bout that. I felt like I was in her shoes for a moment and let my feelings from my heart do the speaking as I wrote this poem. Okay, I've written this first, but I rewritten before my fic "The Butterfly and Her Samurai". This is the first poem that I've written on this site and in this category, so I hope you enjoyed it because I had fun writing it. Well, you know what to do. Review! Yes, your thoughts and suggestions are welcome. No flames, please, just your honest opinion. And thanks for taking the time to read it. Much love to you, SC fans! -p.k. (rose-mirror21)
