A.N./ This is my first Sterek fic and I really like it so I hope you do too!

I'm sittin' in the passenger side of his big, rusted out Chevy truck, he's got one hand on the steering wheel an the other one's fiddling with the radio until we don't hear no more static and the sound of a woman's voice floats through the speakers. She's singin' about how her best friend stole her man when they were doing the Tennessee waltz. Poor heart.

An as I'm listenin' to this beautiful voice crooning about how she'll never see her baby again I gets to thinkin', could by baby be that easily stolen? I mean we've been together little over a year now, but shoot, her and her man had been together forever and some sly-footed floozy stole him.

So I turn to Derek and I says, "Derek baby…?"

He looks away from the road for a second and grunts. I reckon he wants me to go on.

"Would you ever..ya know, leave me?" I regret it as soon as the words left my mouth. I turn bright cherry red from the tips of my ears to the soles of my feet I did.

And Derek ain't say nothing for a real long time so I do what I normally do an I start babblin' bout a whole lot a nothin'. Tellin' him he ain't gotta answer and it was a stupid question and if he did wanna leave it'd be fine, honest!

"Stiles, it's fine. Look I ain't gon' leave ya, so you can calm your horses." Derek stops the car an pulls over to the side of the road. "C'mon outta the car Stiles." Derek unlocks his door and so do I.

"Are you really plannin' to leave me? Good God almighty, I done figured out that you gon leave me and yer gonna kill me. I swear I won't tell daddy please let me live. I've got so much to live for-"

"Shut yer trap boy!" My mouth locked up real tight. "I didn't bring ya out here to kill you, the idea don't seem too bad now. I drove ya all the way out here to ask you a question." Derek kicked at the sand with the toe of his cowboy boots.

"No I ain't pregnant Derek."

"You son of a-" He took a deep sigh and pinched the place between his two eyebrows that always seem to be creased. He fell to one knee and dug in the pocket of his trousers and came back with a little black box. "Genim Stilinski, will you make me the happiest man this side of the Mississippi river and be my wife?"

I started bawling. I couldn't help it! The tears just flowed and I couldn't speak so I nodded. I nodded so hard I thought my neck would snap clean off.

He got me into a bear hug and spun me around til I was gonna be sick whispering "Mrs. Derek Hale" and I couldn't help but think that Miss Patti Page shoulda got herself a man like my Derek.

A.N./ Did you like it? Tell me in a review. *peace*
