Desperation Equals STRONG PUNCH

"So, Equius... I'm a highblood... aren't I?" Eridan scooted over a bit more, closing the space between him and muscles rapidly, not to mention awkwardly. Equius leaned backward, almost falling off the bench. The workout room was empty save for the two, and every noise was amplified. "Riiight?"
"Um... yes... where are you going with this?" Equius stood up uncomfortably and slapped the coarse towel around his neck. Eridan followed suit, again squeezing himself as close to Equius as possible.
"You're supposed to obey highbloods, riiight?" Eridan wiggled his eyebrows. "See wwhere I'm going noww?" Equius's eyes narrowed.
"Highblood... it is not that I do not respect your position on the hemospectrum... but... no." Equius side-stepped away from Eridan, and again was followed. "Please stop following me."
"Not until you agree to be my somethin'! I'm not gonna givve up, ya hear?" Eridan put on a very determined face and perched his hands on his hips. Equius snorted.
"You're going to have to follow me a lone while, then, highblood," he said, getting a slight bit testier as he thought of what that might entail. Oh, how he wished he hadn't said that. Now Eridan was blubbering.
"But, Eq! It wwould mean the wworld to me! It wwould put you in the favvor of a highblood! It wwould even fill one of your quadrants!" Equius rubbed the bridge of his nose with two fingers.
"Highblood, please excuse me, but I must go before I do something very... regrettable." Equius turned on his heel and walked to the heavy metal door. His hand had barely touched the latch when he felt Eridan scoot around, jabbering the whole while, getting most annoying with his persistent talk of romance and loneliness and buckets and-
